MARCH MADNESS - For Health

So I thought I’d let y’all in on a little thing I’m doing this March. I decided to make March the start of a better way of looking at food and eating. My brother, sister in law, and mom all decided to get in on it and work together to support one another.

The basics of it is that we are consuming little to no processed sugar, and none of those ick carbs that do nothing for you. Basically, cut out the bad, put in the good. We’re limiting our carbs per day and sticking to only whole grain and multigrain.

Sugars can come from agave nectar, honey, or fruit, but none of that high fructose corn syrup! Along with this is basic common sense such as reducing overall intake and only eating when hungry, drinking lots of water and green tea.

We are allowing ourselves a cheat day once a week, or depending on your willpower, a cheat snack once a day. This isn’t something massive like a whopping ice cream sundae, but just a little treat to reward yourself.If you have lots of tempting foods, get ‘em out of the house so they don’t weigh on your mind.

Working out daily is also important, just to get yourself moving.
